Masks Required Until Further Notice

Following the expiration of the Hamilton County mask mandate at midnight on April 28, Greater Chattanooga REALTORS® will continue to require wearing masks* in the building until further notice. *Masks should be worn by Members and Guests unless seated in the Education Room, which is set up for socially distanced meetings. Staff should wear masks unless at their desk.

The Board of Directors and CEO mutually agreed to continue requiring masks in light of guidance from the CDC, Hamilton County Mayor Coppinger, and the Hamilton County Health Department, all of whom encourage wearing masks and social distancing when possible.

In their April 27th press release, the Hamilton County Health Department provided these reasons for continuing to wear a mask:

  • COVID-19 cases in our community remain high.
  • COVID-19 variants are present in our community.
  • A significant number of eligible residents have not been vaccinated and remain at risk.
  • Wearing a mask and social distancing are effective measures that can protect our community.
  • The CDC recommends both vaccinated and unvaccinated individuals wear a mask indoors in public spaces.

On April 19, Greater Chattanooga REALTORS® resumed in-person committee meetings. We will announce in-person networking events as details are confirmed to safely and effectively host such events.

Through May 31, our CE offerings remain via Zoom. We planned for an education “break” in June and July. Beginning in August, we plan to phase in some in-person classes, dependent upon previously confirmed instructors’ availability and their willingness and ability to travel based on other teaching commitments.

Our Staff looks forward to serving you soon at the Association office. Or, if you prefer contactless assistance, the mail slot is available 24-7, and we continue to accommodate curbside service and pick-up requests. At times, the front door may be locked depending on the number of staff in the building, lunch breaks, etc. When that occurs, there is a sign on the door to call us so someone can let you in.

During this ongoing pandemic, our Members’ ability to adapt is incredible and inspiring. #ThatsWhoWeR
