ACE Crypto 1 (Intro): How to Understand & Meet Customers' Needs in a Blockchain World classes will be held IN PERSON.

Times change and it is important as a real estate professional to remain aware of, and adapt to those changes. Cryptocurrency is here to stay, and with more and more widespread acceptance its presence in real estate transactions will only continue to grow. In this intro class we will explain cryptocurrency, how it works, the benefits it has to the customer, and the reasons why its presence in real estate will be a very good thing. What you learn here will give you the ability to help customers that very few agents have the skillset to work with. Discovering how to integrate this into your business is a way to separate yourself from the rest of the pack and set yourself up as an industry expert.

At the end of this course, you will be able to:

  1. Provide a customer with an overview of what cryptocurrency is.
  2. Describe the difference between ‘money’ and an investment like real estate or cryptocurrency.
  3. Describe any current laws by the federal government that may affect our customers regarding the use of cryptocurrency for purchasing real estate.
  4. Explain to a customer how a lender makes a loan based on using cryptocurrency.
  5. Describe how cryptocurrency may be utilized when a customer would not qualify for a typical mortgage.
  6. List the common characteristics of customers who already own cryptocurrency.
  7. Given a scenario, calculate the outcome to determine if our investor customer should liquidate cryptocurrency in order to purchase real estate.
  8. Describe what a Smart Contract is and how cryptocurrency would impact flow of closing on a real estate property.
  9. Describe the impact cryptocurrency would have on title insurance.
  10. Briefly explain to a customer what a ‘crypto wallet’ is and how it works.
  11. Provide an overview of what ‘stable coin’ means when closing a real estate transaction and the pros and cons.
  12. Describe how escrow funds are held when using cryptocurrency.
  13. Describe what a ‘Smart Contract’ is.
