Looking Back, Moving Forward

As my year as President comes to a close, I am grateful for the chance to serve our members and this community we all love. Our work in 2025 focused on steady, practical progress that raised the bar for professionalism, supported our neighbors, and gave buyers and sellers clear information in a market that changed month by month.

We kept members and the public grounded in facts through our monthly market reports and National Association Consumer Education Guides. From energy efficiency and estate planning to historic homes and VA loans, we highlighted resources that help people make confident decisions. We also doubled down on member education. We hosted advanced courses that strengthen real client work, including pricing strategy, negotiation, fair housing, sustainability, and risk management, so buyers and sellers experience the difference from the first consultation through closing.

Service beyond the transaction remained a hallmark. With our Placemaking grant, we supported Walker County’s safety enhancements at Walker Rocks Park by funding a protective fence that creates a secure play area for children with special needs. We continued our support for Habitat for Humanity, volunteered with Snack Pack Ministry so students have food security on weekends, and awarded scholarships to help the next generation take its next step. These efforts reflect a simple belief. Strong neighborhoods are built by good housing choices and by the places and programs that surround them.

Our advocacy work focused on homeownership. We engaged policymakers in our community to support practical policies that help residents buy, sell, and keep their homes, and we had a successful Tennessee Day on the Hill that strengthened those conversations at the state level.

None of this happens without people. I am deeply appreciative of our officers and directors, our committee leaders and volunteers, and the dedicated association staff for the expertise and professional service you bring to our members and community. Thank you to our members who served, taught, learned, showed up, and lived our values in their businesses every day.

It is a privilege to welcome our 2026 President, Connie Brewer. Connie brings experience, calm leadership, and a heart for service. She understands the importance of clear standards and the power of community partnerships. Under her leadership, Greater Chattanooga Realtors will continue to elevate member excellence, deepen community engagement, and advocate for property rights and fair, transparent markets.
Thank you for trusting me to represent you this year. It has been an honor to work alongside you to move our mission forward. I am excited for what is next and confident our association is in excellent hands. #That'sWhoWeR
