Students participating in this course will complete their mandatory ethics training requirement*, while understanding how to practice real estate in the most ethical way possible, and the actions taken when ethics are in question.

*This course fulfills the REALTOR® Code of Ethics Training Requirement mandated by National Association of REALTORS®, to be completed once every three years.  The current cycle runs January 1, 2025 through December 31, 2027.

DESCRIPTION

New Member Orientation is required of all REALTOR® members, and MLS Orientation is required of anyone having access to the MLS system.

Orientation is a chance for our newest members to get acquainted with one another and all the benefits of being a member of Greater Chattanooga REALTORS®. Following a brief overview of local program and services, we will segue into MLS Rules and an overview of the MLS platform.

Course material will be provided during class.

Students may bring an electronic device to follow along during the MLS portion.

PURPOSE: Solicits RPAC contributions and educates members on their role in the REALTOR® Party to Vote, Act & Invest to protect and promote home ownership and real estate investment. PURPOSE: Provides guidance regarding commercial-specific programs and services, including but not limited to the commercial listing service, education, and networking offerings for our commercial practitioners.

COMPOSITION: The President appoints the Commercial Services Advisory Group from the members of the Commercial Council. Membership in the Commercial Council is available to any REALTOR® member, who subscribes to the commercial information exchange completes a membership application. PURPOSE: Provides guidance on programs, services, and communications to engage our youngest (in age or years in the business) members.

• Setting access hours to listings, change keybox shackle codes, and track keybox inventory

• Getting real-time data at the door, including a listing photo and current property notes

• Quickly and easily showing properties using the phone's biometric feature or even the Apple Watch®

• Browsing SupraWEB on your smartphone

Schedule: The first hour will be all of the features of eKEY Basic and then the last 1/2 hour will be eKEY Professional. There will be a break in between to answer any eKEY Basic questions and a break at the end of eKEY Professional to answer questions.

NOTE: To get the most out of the live demonstration, please make sure you have your eKEY authorized so that you can follow along. If you do not have it downloaded, please go to your app store and download. Once downloaded, select Authorize eKEY App > select "I need to request an authorization code" > enter either your email or mobile phone number you gave your organization on file > enter your PIN Code (this is provided from your organization when setting up your account and getting assigned a key) & then tap on submit. You will either receive an email or text message with your authorization code.

Looking for ways to get involved in this years REALTOR® Volunteer Days?

With school out for the summer, the area's food banks will see an increased need from local children experiencing food insecurity. These children rely on school lunches and food provided by the Snack Pack Ministry that they will not receive during the summer months.

To address this need, our Cultural Awareness & Fair Housing Committee is hosting a Food Drive to support the local food banks. Participate by donating these urgent items:

• Peanut Butter
• Canned Vegetables (examples: beans, corn, green beans, carrots, mixed greens, peas, etc.)
• Canned Fruit
• Canned Soup
• Canned Proteins (examples: pork & beans, chili, chicken, etc.)

Drop off the items at the Association (2963 Amnicola), Monday-Friday, 8:30am-5pm through July 31. OR if you need pick up, please contact contact Fanci Moore, 423.698.8001
