DESCRIPTION

New Member Orientation is required of all REALTOR® members, and MLS Orientation is required of anyone having access to the MLS system.

New Member & MLS Orientation will be held IN PERSON.

Orientation is a chance for our newest members to get acquainted with one another and all the benefits of being a member of Greater Chattanooga REALTORS®. Following a brief overview of local program and services, we will segue into MLS Rules and an overview of the MLS platform.

Course material will be provided during class.

Students may bring an electronic device to follow along during the MLS portion.

FinCEN: Planning for the Effect on Your Business class will be held IN PERSON.

Learn what the new FinCEN* rule means for attorneys and title agencies! Understand reporting requirements under CFR 1031.320 and get practical steps to start compliance for the March 1, 2026 deadline.

*FinCEN is a U.S. Treasury agency that helps prevent money laundering and fraud by increasing transparency in real estate transactions.

GA License Law: The Final Word class will be held IN PERSON. 

THIS COURSE SATISFIES THE GREC REAL ESTATE LICENSE LAW EDUCATION REQUIREMENT. All licensees in Georgia are required to complete a license law course in order to renew their license. This course has been designed to meet this requirement by reviewing actual cases heard by the GREC. (This course provides both Real Estate Licensee CE credit and Real Estate Instructor CE credit.)

Course material will be emailed prior to class.

DESCRIPTION

(GA) Little Known Laws with Big Impacts class will be held IN PERSON.

Due to the recent developments in the real estate market as well as the country, real estate brokers have had to adopt new business practices. Brokers are responsible for the actions of the affiliated licensees and must remain aware of all of the regulations that dictate compliance. Otherwise, brokers can find themselves in court actions and ignorance is still no excuse. This course focuses on the state and federal laws that regulate how information must be handled. Specifically, brokers will learn proactive actions brokers can take to avoid violations and protective procedures to follow.

*This course fulfills the GREC Real Estate Broker CE Requirement.
